FACTS: The Mini-Documentary

Only 17 minutes! The video gives a quick and dirty look at the California Three Strikes law and what FACTS is trying to do to change the law. Please buy it, copy it, and distribute it to as many people as you can. Great for showing to classes. We are selling it for almost cost just hoping people will watch it so they can become informed about the 3-strikes law.

The video includes the following: opening 3 minute segment on how the 3-strikes law is used in California; an 8 minute segment on how FACTS as an organization has been working to try to change the law; a six minute segment of Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins as they read some 3-strike stories at the Shadow Convention.

FACTS: Fundraiser Speeches 2001

FACTS is selling a video of the Los Angeles Fund Raiser that was held at the Fumara Hotel on October 6th.

The tape includes the full speeches of all the participants and also includes the same video that was played at the Fund raiser.

Included on the tape are speeches by: Professor Erwin Chemerinsky, Assemblywoman Jackie Goldberg, and many other people involved with FACTS.

FACTS: The Shadow Convention and the Demonstrations at the National Democratic Convention

A great video that has Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins reading the stories of many California Three Strike victims. The video also includes many of the best speeches at the Shadow Convention's War on Drugs Day. The 1 hour and 47 minute video also includes speeches by Gary Johnson (the Governor of New Mexico), Bill Maher (of Pollitically Incorrect), Rep. Maxine Waters, a performance of Rage Against the Machine, and lots of footage from the demonstrations at the National Democratic Convention.

FACTS is selling a video of the Los Angeles Fund Raiser that was held at the Hacienda Hilton on October 30th. The tape includes the full speeches of all the participants and also incorporates splices from many of FACTS events over the years (the same video that was playing at the Fund raiser).

Included on the tape are speeches by Michael J. Moore (producer of Legacy), Ruthie Gilmore, Wally Marks (Liberty Hill foundation), Joseph Charney (dept. dist. att. who has been very vocal in speaking out against the 3-strikes law), Jamal Goree (radio talk show host), and many other people involved with FACTS.

The total running time of the tape is about two hours.

Three Strikes: Policy and Politics in Sacramento, 1999

All initial proceeds will go towards FACTS (statewide budget).

The video is approximately 44 minutes long and gives a good overview of the difficulties encountered by FACTS members when trying to lobby in Sacramento. Included are many comments by family members of Three Strikers, a Deputy District Attorney, a Superior Court Judge, and an Appellate Attorney (all lobbying on behalf of amending the 3-strikes law). Also see discussions with Senator Jim Costa (co-author of the Three Strikes law) and other Senators. In addition, the video gives details about the 3-strikes law and the political process involved in trying to change the 3-strikes law.
