Paraphrased summary of comments made by prisoner and/or others:

Exequiel was arrested in March of 1995 for 1st degree burglary and receiving stolen property. Exequiel pled guilty, but the court

decided to hold the verdict in abeyance for one year, conditioned upon Exequiel successfully completing a one year in-patient

drug program. If successful, then the judge was going to reduce the counts to misdemeanors. Exequiel was unsuccessful in

the program and arrested again, so the judge sentenced Exequiel to 28 years to life.
