Jan. 26th: Clauder initiative pulls out of petition drive this
year.
The group Citizens Against Violent Crime led by Sam H. Clauder III have
pulled out of the petition drive for their initiative. We received the
following message on January 26th from a representative of the Clauder
group:
"As of now we are not going to put out our petition for
circulation. To do so would doom any potential for the Tucker Monroe volunteer
effort. If they are successful we will use any money raised to promote passage
of their proposal. If they are unsuccessful we will continue to raise money for
future efforts to change the law."
