Letter from Sweden
Hello.
As a swedish resident, we dont have slum/ghetto
neighborhoods, and we have been lucky to not have any or at least very much
police brutality. However, I understand that this happens frequently in US
cities, and I am outraged to hear that the world's richest country and "mos
powerful" country in the world have these problems - that most people dont seem
to notice (or am I mistaken). Anyway, I've headrd about the three strikes you
out law and ther Prop 21, and to me it sounds basically like instead of
teaching youngsters right or wrong, you teach them (minorities) nothing and
instead lock them up.
Just wanted to let you know.
