book about a family in Orange County with a drug-addicted son who has spent
time in and out of jail. The book is written by the mother, Maralys Wills, and
is co-written by Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona who gives his personal
insights about drug prevention (and the need to increase it rehabilitation
programs). Even though Maralys Wills' son is not a 3-striker, the family's
story is similar to what many 3-striker families have had to go through with a
loved-one who has an addiction.
