3-Strike Stories: Ned Frapp

Name and Family History:

Ned Frapp. All my Family are law abiding citizens, if you print this story, please change name for their sake.

Strikes:

1. My friend rob a lady, I was there but I was not involved in the crime. He did not have a gun, but as a plea bargain I plead guilty to a CRC commitment.

2. A petty theft, that turned into a robbery because witness lied. The D.A. knew something was wrong. I received county time, but again I had to plea guilty to a robbery.

3. A petty theft. Denied Romero 3 times.

Story:

Well, my 2 strikes are from 1980 and 1985. After my release of my ‘85 offense I remained drug free for 6½ years. During that time I got married had a very good job, I was a distribution supervisor for Barter Health Care, the largest medical supply company in the world, top 100 in Fortune 500. I lived a very successful life. I bought my own home and supported my wife and 4 kids, we now have 3 beautiful grandchildren, my wife has 4 children from a previous marriage. Her oldest daughters are 20 and 22 years old. Unfortunately, my wife and children are in a very bad financial state, due to my high income we acquired a lot of bills, plus she is paying for some medical bills related to my drug use and illness. My wife is devastated by this whole event. We no longer communicate. I have a very good lady friend who is helping me out. She is involved with your group.

Comments:

I received a 29 to life sentence for 2 petty thefts, my second strike was just a petty theft but I plead guilty to a robbery for county time so I haven’t had a violent crime since ‘80. I was 18, now I’m 36. My ‘85 plea bargain was a big mistake as I now realize.

Thank you for your time on this matter.
