On my behalf: William Cruz Ochoa, People v. Ochoa. 2 crim B106184. I have been sentences to Three Hundred and twenty-six years to life, for Welfare Fraud, under the Three Strike Laws; my strikes, crimes they that convicted me of happen in the years of 1976, 1980, 1984. They sentenced me to thirteen consecutive counts of welfare fraud. I was sentence in Los Angeles County, City of Los Angeles on 9/20/96 at The Criminal Courts Building on Temple St.

My case was appealed and denied in the Appeals and Supreme Courts. All my prior crimes have been drug related, and crimes were done to support a Heroin habit.

Now my only recourse is to file a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS in the Federal Courts. Even the staff members here are shocked too here of my sentence, and are not happy with the courts in my case.

I am fifty-four years of age, so even the deal, the District Attorney offered me of twenty-five years to life, was a Death Sentence.

Please send me what information that might help me and people like me, with nonviolent crimes . . . I will keep this letter short, waiting on a reply. I will be glad to tell my story and answer any questions you may have. I will appreciate whatever you can do; and thank-you.
