3-Strike Stories: Johnny Dykes
Family History:
I have a wife and 3 children who love and need me very much! My son, Johnny Jr., is 4.
And my daughters, Naomi and Cheyan are 3 and 3 months.
The Strikes:
One robbery (which they made 2 strikes) and an assault.
The Story:
I've had a rough life. My mom was always on drugs so I had to take care of three
brothers and one sister. I've been to prison one other time, and now I find myself with a
life sentence! My wife and I were just married 2 years ago, and just when my life finally
starts going good, it's taken away. Not only for me, but my kids also! It's not fair! I
got more time because someone thought they saw me assault someone than people who kill and
molest kids. I wasn't even I.Ded, but still found guilty. My wife and kids are having it
very hard out there financially but there's nothing I can do! Just the other day my wife
brought my kids to see me and my daughter asked me if I was ever coming home. I cried.
Other Comments:
3-Strikes isn't just a black thing, or white thing, or Mexican thing, it's for anybody
and everybody they can give it to. They don't care who it hurts, as long as they are
getting paid and going home to their family's every night. What happened to the rapists
and murderers? Why do they get off so light? They should give it to the people who deserve
it! I am not one of those people!
