My name is Bill and on July 28,1994 I went to pick up my ex-wife who was getting out
of Sacramento C-jail after being picked up on a traffic warrant. I was sitting outside the
jail waiting for her to come out and a nurse that worked at the jail notices I had a knife
on my belt. As an auto mechanic I use one often for stripping electrical wire or cleaning
off metal surfaces so I always carried one. The nurse went into the lobby and told a
security guard that already knew I was waiting for my ex to be released. He came outside
and told me they needed more information before she could be release, and if I would
follow him, which I did and when we got inside the lobby they arrested me for bringing a
weapon into the jail. I forgot the charge and lost. They denied my appeal and I presently
have a writ in federal court. They sentenced me twenty-six years to life as a 3-striker.
I had a successful mechanic business that I lost. My ex-wife sold all my tools and she
also let my business truck get stolen.
