3-Strike Stories: Dennis C.

I am a 40 year old man, with a beautiful babe girl, that is 3 years old this June. I will probably never see her again. I also lost my wife to this Three Strike Law. Itss a sad thing for anyone to have to lose so much, for something so Mi-nute.

I have a prior conviction of Robbery, and another one for evading arrest. (Robbery 1984 / Evading 1990). My current convictions are (1) Attempting to still #18.00 worth of watches, which is a second degree burglary. (20 Possession of .12 grams of Heroin, which is about $10.00 on the streets.

With all due respects, I was given 26 years to life for the petty crime, and an additional 25 years to life for possession of heroin. By the way, theses sentences are consecutive sentences. Two Trials, Two Different Courts. I received a total of 51 years with two life sentences. It makes you wonder how many lives does one have? Tax payer's money hard at work.

A little note for myself! (I have never killed, or even physically hurt anybody), but myself. With this drug problem I endured on myself for this I have to lose my wife, my children, and the rest of my life. WHAT'S NEXT!!!!

I don't think that I'm a bad person, neither one of my current case's are serious, nor violent. In fact there are so many people that are doing life for something that is so Mi-nute. I really think we should take a real good look into this Three Strike Law.
