3-Strike Story: D. Giradr

Hello There, first of all I am not a Three Striker! But there are hundreds of people here at Pelican Bay State Prison that are and it’s just a matter of time before every man, women , and child has a loved one effected by this California Three Strikes Law! Open your eyes people. Without mentioning any names, just to give you a example of the un-fairness of this law, my cell-mate is a striker. He has a sentence of 36 years to life for stealing a 12 pack of beer from a seven-eleven store. He is now 42 years old, that means he will most likely die in prison, unless he lives to the ripe old age, about 75. That’s when he goes to the board for consideration of parole.

The reason I bring this case up and to show everybody how serious and un-fair this three strike law really is, because there are lots of people in here for crimes like Murder, Kidnap, Rape and worse. Who don’t have half the time as some of these "Non-Violent" Three Strikes.

So you tell me, where is the Justice? Please Tell? What ever happened to common sense? A 10 year old child would know something is wrong with this Law?
